I love living here. It is centrally located to a lot of different businesses and an easy drive to access the freeway. I love the amenities they offer as well. The pool, outside BBQ grills and gym are all a bonus and the hot tub is open year round!! I never have an issue with noise, maintenance or dealing with the office. Anytime I have needed help Cassie is always there to answer any questions I have. She is always super friendly and able to help me right away. Thank you for all that you guys do :)

I've been at southwillow since August 1st and since the new management, my experience has been nothing but great. Staff is super friendly and helpful mainly Cassie she is the one I usually see when I go in and she is always very willing to help! It's really nice in the middle of the apartments. They have firepits that are all modern and cool looking. They have new nice grills and nice gym/pool/hot tub. Courts for basket ball inside and outside and things for other games. They have garbage valet which is pretty rad in these cold days. Haven't had any trouble with maintenance. I've noticed everyone who lives here is pretty friendly! They have a dog park! Which my dogs love. I live in a remodeled apartment and it's modern and nice looking.

I wish there was an option for 0/5 stars for the costumer service of this complex. The new management is absolutely awful. They are rude, unwilling to work with people and argumentative. I dropped off the most ridiculous check last week for a mistake that they made in not being clear on what was expected to be paid upon move out and instead of helping make the situation right they got defensive and threatened to charge me even more. The assistant manager is cold and flat out disrespectful. The manager Wendy doesn’t know a damn thing about her job and what she is talking about she even admitted and says she “doesn’t know” why something is the way that it is but still refused to fix the problem. I was recommending this place left And right when I first moved in, gave it a 5 star rating because I was so impressed and now I am warning people to stay far far away from this place and to look elsewhere. It’s sad because they did a lot of new renovations and updates to the complex but this place will never thrive with the people running it as of September and even three days ago the same people were still there when I dropped of the check so I guarantee nothing has changed in the “last month” so now, I’m waiting for the same cookie cutter response everyone else has gotten from the owner with negative reviews.

Even with new management this place will need a miracle to be turned around. They NEVER answer their phone, even during business hours. You can’t leave a voicemail because it doesn’t exist. You can’t even get a hold of the emergency maintenance number! Completely unreliable and irritating!

I have only lived here for about a month, so far everything has been smooth sailing. They recently were bought out by new management so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that means good improvements. My neighbors are really quiet, hardly any noise which is great. I honestly don't really run into anyone. They have plenty of parking which is also really great for when you have guests over. Seems like they are making an effort to turn the place around. Update: I just moved out last month after ending my 10 month lease. I would have loved to stay another year but I just couldn't afford to live on my own anymore. I was very happy to receive part of my deposit back since I was worried after reading previous reviews. Overall I enjoyed my time living here and enjoy all the updates they made during my stay. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

Do not rent an apartment here. The worst management that I have ever had to deal with. Customer service is a joke. I spoke with the manager named Wendi Richards. She doesn't have a single clue on how to run this property or have any type of customer service skills. She will tell you one thing that this is how the contract is written out and thats how they have to follow it. But when a situation occurs and its not in the contract she doesn't want to follow the contract anymore and will say " I don't know". She should know this is her job and what she gets paid to do. She had a huge attitude and was very disrespectful. This issue occurred when we were moving out and we did everything they told us to do. Gave the 60 days notice and paid the amount that we were told to pay.... 2 weeks after moving out I get a bill showing that my deposit is is all eaten up and I still owe an additional $340.00... They hit me with a late fee because there office was closed on Sunday (12/3/17) and they weren't there to take my payment (late fee is applied 12/4/17) so now I'm stuck with the late fee and I went in to talk to her and she did nothing to help me out. Worst manager ever. Wendi will never be able to give you a reasonable answer to any questions you have. Stay away from this place and save yourself the money and hassle.

I'll start by saying this: I don't feel like it's fair to judge this place based on the security of the parking lots or the rowdiness of the neighbors, as this is somewhat beyond management's control. Instead, I decided to rate Southwillow based on our personal experience with the things they CAN control. The star rating I gave is calculated by the '/10' scores I awarded... Staff: 10/10 We had a great experience with both old and new management. The girls in the office are bubbly and helpful. Wendy was also a big help, especially when we were moving out. Location: 10/10 Super close to the freeway, Target, Smith's, several fast food restaurants, Midvale, Gardener Village and the Taylorsville Crossing shopping Center. You can't really beat the location. That's probably what we miss the most. Deposit return: 8/10 We got all but $150 of our deposit back upon moving out. Note that they will generally take a cleaning fee / pet treatment fee, and replace the stove top when you leave. Apartment Space: 7/10 We were never ashamed to have people over. The layout worked well for us and was clean upon arrival. We were glad to have a dishwasher that was brand new when we moved in. There was some light wear and tear, and there were obviously some corners cut during the renovation process (eg. one bathroom cupboard was blocked by the toilet, the inside of cabinets were old and chipped, a couple of closet doors had the handle on the wrong side, the WiFi hookup was not wired underneath the plug). Aside from that, it worked well for the two of us and our small dog. Maintenance: 6/10 Several times our freezer broke, and our dishwasher broke at one point also. Every time, someone came to fix the issue eventually, but it was often a timely affair. The service team themselves are capable and friendly. Transparency of Cost: 5/10 We were in an apartment for $770 a month. We were told to set up our own electricity, but nothing else was really clarified. Our monthly rent worked out at about $1000, once water, street light fee, pet rent, gas, electric, and internet were added on. Amenities: 4/10 The gym (which may have been updated by now) was not in working order when we first moved in. A pedal was missing on the bike machine, the treadmill had broken down, and there were several weights missing. The laundry unit often has machines broken also, and you can never tell before they charge your laundry card. We probably lost about $20 over 11 months just on broken machines. Contactability: 2/10 This is where they lose out somewhat. I do not believe I ever got through to the leasing office on my first try. Often it would take 3-4 tries (sometimes more) spread across an hour or two. They definitely need to fix their phone line also, as the voicemail system does not work, and gives an 'out of office' automated message even during office hours. That can be very frustrating, especially when you have something urgent come up.
