Embarc will EXCEED all your expectations... in the worst way! ð My husband and I lived here for 2 years and had several bad experiences. Upon moving in here, the management had somehow LOST our lease and agreement. Instead of following records that they had emailed us they had printed up a new lease entirely with rent being $100 more a month as well as a deposit being $700 instead of the $200 we agreed on. Too bad theydidnt tell us this until the day before move in, when we had to call them to verify all the details. We wouldâve found alternate housing but my husband had military orders and we had very little time for moving.
MAINTENANCE: Upon moving into the apartment we had multiple maintenance issues that were poorly addressed. Our shower rod, toilet paper holder, closet door and cabinet drawers all fell off within the first week. Following this our fridge door fell off and maintenance had the audacity to ask us âWhy would you remove and take the bolt from the fridge door?â Anyone else just take fridge door bolts for the fun of it?? ð Another maintenance request put in, our dishwasher broke and left a disgusting smell in our apartment. Itâs okay, we only had to deal with it for 2 weeks, and again had maintenance blame the issue on us. Last of all, we were meant to have our filters replaced in the apartment, they happened to âaccidentallyâ skip our apartment. We submitted a request to have this fixed and had maintenance come in and put half a pool noodle on our water heater? Job done guys, (seriously, what a joke.) ðð
MANAGEMENT: I will start off by saying that Wendy is the only capable employee in this establishment. Whenever we had any issues we began going directly to her when possible, otherwise the job was never done or not done correctly. They had a decent turnover of employees who always seemed to mess several things up along the way. This included misplacing our lease after moving in (yes, after initially losing our lease entirely after move in, they somehow misplaced it a second time.) our biggest complain was upon moving out, we had to inform our new renters of our previous rental history. When contacted, Kate gave out the wrong renterâs info. Causing the complex to believe that we lied about our renters history and payment history. Not only did this severely delay our move in process but Embarc was giving out other renterâs info. (Again this was something we had to go back to Wendy to have fixed.) On top of the fact that they preferred to do all exchanges verbally without written proof, plausible deniability for everything that way right??
COMMUNITY: The community is the only reason why this establishment received 2 stars rather than 1. We had a great set of neighbors that were very respectful and made it worth sticking around. It was generally very quiet around the neighborhood and most things on the grounds were upkept nicely. We did have an incident where our car was broken into and some belongings were stolen. We reported this to management and told them that this should be reported to other residents to keep an eye out. They ignored this request and later that week another car was broken into as well as an entire vehicle stolen. As well as several of the amenities being closed or not working properly a lot of the time. Along with several times of entrances being blocked by SWAT teams, leaves a sense of safety? ð
RENT: Little bang for big buck! Incredibly tiny apartments with poor management completely overpriced. We were paying around $1100 a month for less than 700 sq feet of space. (Bit of a hint: if you are looking to move here, make em negotiate the price ð trust me. They need tenants at this point, theyâll have to.) Also, make sure to read your lease. Itâs almost a guarantee that you wonât see a penny of your deposit. The cleaning fees included are meant to siphon every dime! P. S. When we receive our forwarded closing charges I will make sure to upload a copy of all of it to my review! Trust me, weâre already prepared for insane charges.
